Most Internet users have no static IP, but are assigned (e.g. with DSL connections) a so-called dynamic IP by their Internet provider, which usually changes every time a new connection (usually every 24 hours). This makes external access to internal services difficult.
DDNS dynamically compares the data and ensures that the new IP address is entered accordingly for the entry in the technical configuration of the domain. No manual changes are necessary and the respective entry of the domain is constantly available despite changing IP. The DDNS method is usually supported by any modern Internet router (e.g. the FRITZ!Box from AVM), alternatively corresponding additional programs can be installed on the PC.
