The domain market is undergoing far-reaching changes and is currently being supplemented by further domain extensions (new gTLDs) as a result of liberalisation. A total of 1,930 applications for new gTLDs have been submitted and experts assume that several hundred of them such as .shop, .gmbh or .mail will be in great demand. Already in this late summer the first new gTLDs - above all .ruhr for the enterprises from the region - are to conquer the Internet!

In this event, current developments, especially with regard to the introduction of new gTLDs and the resulting challenges and opportunities for companies, will be presented. In addition to detailed information on the new gTLD .ruhr, participants will receive tips and suggestions for expanding their domain strategy and thus increasing their presence on the Internet.

   The cities and districts of the Ruhr have grown together and see themselves as one, as the Ruhr Metropolis. A new domain extension introduces itself and opens up new possibilities for distinctive Internet addresses.
5. Challenges and solutions in practice
   The domain market is subject to continuous changes and presents companies with new challenges. These will be presented, especially with regard to the new domain extensions, and various practical solutions will be presented.
